Why Radiometric Dating Fails: A Creationist’s Perspective

Wednesday 13, Nov 202431:11

Radiometric dating is often presented as indisputable proof that the earth is old. The knockout punch to any young-Earth ideas. The evidence to end all argument.

"How do we know the earth is old?", we are asked? "Because of radiometric dating, that's how! Because scientists measured stuff [i.e. via radiometric dating], so science says its old."

But does it really? How does radiometric dating even work? Is it, as the general public has been led to believe, some sort of ‘purely scientific’ method that is completely free from assumptions and any bias on the scientists’ part?

Or is it, in fact, deeply flawed—repeatedly shown to be unreliable when used on samples of known age?

Discover the surprising truth about radiometric dating in this helpful discussion with Dr Mark Harwood.
