Did Darwin recant?

There's a popular story that Darwin renounced his theory of evolution just before he died. Darwin died in April of 1882 and as early as the following month this story began to be included in some sermons.

In the mid 1990's some CMI staff members investigated these claims and found that it is very likely not true.
