Many Christians are convinced that scientists have proven that the universe is billions of years old. In Genesis 1 we learn that God created the heavens, the earth, and all they contain in six days. It's plain to see that the word "day" in Genesis 1 clearly means a literal 24-hour day. The Hebrew word for 'Day' is used more than 2300 times throughout the Old Testament, but its meaning is only questioned in Genesis. Why? Because the idea of millions of years is so ingrained in our society today. Each issue of Creation magazine contains articles by scientists refuting the millions of years and supporting a recent creation in six real days, just like the Bible says.

If God didn't create the sun until day 4 how could each of the previous 3 days have been 'real' days? Although we are not told what the light source was, the Bible says that God created the earth and light on the first day. Thus we can deduce that on the first 3 days the Earth was already rotating in space relative to God's created light enabling a day-night cycle. In the book of revelation we read that in the future new heavens and Earth there will, once again, be no need for sun.

Can you marry your relative? According to the Bible all people on earth go back to Noah's family, and before that, back to Adam and Eve. Since we are all ultimately the descendants of the same parents, all people are related. You have to marry your relative! If you don't, you marry something that isn't human. Of course, today we don't marry our close relatives for legal and biological reasons. We marry someone further away in relation to us.

There's a popular story that Darwin renounced his theory of evolution just before he died. Darwin died in April of 1882 and as early as the following month this story began to be included in some sermons.

Question 9 in CMI's '15 Questions for Evolutionists' flyer has plagued evolutionists since the time of Darwin. Where are the transitional fossils? Evolutionary paleontologists have stated that the "missing links" are still missing and some, such as the late Stephen J. Gould, have suggested new ways of interpreting the fossil record due to the lack of transitional fossils.

In this episode Richard Fangrad and Calvin Smith discuss CMI speaker David Catchpoole's experience of meeting a young lady that doctors had described as having left over 'fish gills'. Does this really support the evolutionary assertion that humans evolved from fish?

How did sex originate? That is Question 8 in CMI's '15 Questions for Evolutionists' flyer at the focus of this episode of Genesis Unleashed. Asexual reproduction gives up to twice as much reproductive success ('fitness') for the same resources as sexual reproduction, so how could the latter ever gain enough advantage to be selected? And how could mere physics and chemistry invent the complementary apparatuses needed at the same time.

Question 7 in CMI's '15 Questions for Evolutionists' flyer reveals yet another problem area for the story of evolution: How did cells adapted to individual survival 'learn' to cooperate and specialize (including undergoing programmed cell death) to create complex plants and animals? Question 6 in CMI's '15 Questions for Evolutionists' flyer focuses on the fact that one of the greatest challenges for evolutionists is that living things show too much design! If (as Francis Crick, the co-discoverer of the double helix structure of DNA, wrote) "Biologists must constantly keep in mind that what they see was not designed, but rather evolved" how do evolutionists know living things weren't designed?

Question 5 in CMI's '15 Questions for Evolutionists' flyer focuses on the silence from the evolutionary community regarding a naturalistic explanation for origin of complex biochemical pathways and nano-machines. This is another huge problem for evolution story (just like all the other questions in this series) requiring great faith on the part of those who believe evolution, in spite of the science against it.

Question 4 in CMI's '15 Questions for Evolutionists' flyer challenges evolutionists to explain how natural selection can be the creative process evolutionists require. Natural selection explains the survival of the fittest, adaptation and variation within a kind leading to the great diversity of living things. It fits well with the biblical notion that God created life with the necessary programming to live in a variety of environments. Richard Fangrad and Calvin Smith discuss the question and the attempts to answer it.

Research in recent years by leading (evolutionist) geneticists has revealed catastrophically high mutation rates in humans. This would be a good thing if mutations really cause upward evolution. Instead the human race is plunging toward extinction. Based on data from genetics humans could not have been evolving for millions of years, we would already be extinct.
