New Heavens and New Earth to include death and suffering?

Will God restore things back to millions of years of death and suffering? Many Christians believe that animals died (sometimes due to terribly painful diseases) before Adam sinned? But the New Heaven and Earth are to be a restoration back to before Adam sinned.
